Meeting Planners
Why Meet in the Buffalo Niagara region?
1. We’re affordable, accessible and convenient.
We’ve got a first class airport and plenty of low cost airlines – including Jet Blue and Southwest -- that make visiting our “City of Good Neighbors” as easy – and affordable – as can be. Not to mention that the airport is only minutes from area hotels and the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Buffalo is within a 500-mile radius of 55 percent of the U.S. population, making it an easy drive for many.
2. We’ve got great meeting facilities.
Choose from a variety of meeting-friendly hotels with extensive conference space when booking your Buffalo Conventions. For larger meetings, the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center is located in the heart of downtown Buffalo. Featuring 21 individual rooms complete with audio-visual and multi-media capabilities, the Convention Center offers a 64,000 square foot exhibition hall that can accommodate up to 7,000 people.
3. We’ve got great sports facilities.
When your competition takes place in Buffalo Niagara, everybody wins. Our facilities are rated among the nation’s best, hosting everything from high school invitationals to the World University Games to NCAA basketball and hockey.
4. You’ll Fall for the Falls
Buffalo is only 20 minutes from one of the Wonders of the World – Niagara Falls. You and your members will savor the awesome power of one of nature’s greatest masterpieces.
5. The Shopping is Hopping
Buffalo has malls and quaint neighborhood shopping districts to suit every taste. The recently-expanded Walden Galleria has more than 200 retailers while the Fashion Outlets of Niagara offers its customers 150 name brand outlets. Or sample the funky but chic shops in Buffalo’s Elmwood Village – recently named one of the top ten neighborhoods in the United States by the American Planning Association.
6. Great Local Cuisine
Buffalo’s the place where chicken wings first took flight and you can still find our homegrown specialty at the Anchor Bar, the restaurant that made them famous. Other regional treats include beef-on-weck, charbroiled hot dogs, spicy Italian sausages, scrumptious pierogies and sponge candy.
7. Service. Service. Service.
In Buffalo, we try harder. Book your next meeting, convention or amateur athletics event in Buffalo, and experience the Buffalo difference.
